Biographical Details
He contributed an image of Thorwaldsen to the Grand Polytechnic Exhibition at the Mechanics’ Institute, Hull in 1845 (5). White’s Directory of 1846 listed him as a stone and marble mason of 16 St John Street, at which time he was engaged on work at Brocklesby Park, Lincs, the home of the Earl of Yarborough (1). The Hull Advertiser announced the marriage of Aaron Shaw, sculptor, of Hyde Park, on 7 January 1860. (Inf. Gerardine Mulcahy)
