Biographical Details
He was 17 in 1830 and living at Holywell Street, Millbank, when he entered the Royal Academy Schools on the recommendation of John Constable RA. In the same year he won a medal from the Society of Arts for a model of a bust from life (2). He exhibited at the Academy in 1832 and 1833, and showed a bust of Lord Brougham at the Suffolk Street Galleries in 1833 (3).
