On 1 May 1767 he received a premium of 25 guineas from the Society of Arts for a bas-relief (1). At that time his address was 3 Headin Street, near Swallow Street, Piccadilly, London.There is no further mention of him. He may have been related to the Theodore Balant who, according to J T Smith, taught Michael Rysbrack.
