In 1716 he was paid £16 6s for a tabernacle (1) and on 14 July 1731 he received £95 9s for a black and white marble pavement. In 1735 he was given £1 15s 2d for ‘taking down the old monument’ plus £190 8s 10 1/2d for supplying and erecting the new altarpiece (Foxley (Lady Leveson’s) Charity, Warks CRO, 1618/W15/15a). A payment of £93 for a white and veined marble pavement followed in 1737. In 1741 he was paid £38 2s 6d ‘for worke done at ye Lady Chapell in Warwick to finish ye other part of ye altar piece which was left undone’. This included white and veined Italian marble for two great panels and the two ‘cornishes’, two large pieces of fine dove-coloured marble for the ‘frizes’ and capitals and black and yellow marble for the pilasters (2) (Dugdale MSS 1321 U, vouchers for repairs to the Beauchamp Chapel, 1735-42, archives Dugdale family of Merevale and Blythe Hall, family coll). The altarpiece was removed about 1760 and replaced with one by William Collins.
