Biographical Details
He was described as a freemason of King’s Meaburn when he made the font for Bampton church, Westmorland in 1726 (1). A mason of the same name was listed in Mortimer’s Director of 1763 (p 49) as running a business from Hungerford Market. A Robert Addison, of St Martin in the Fields, was made free of the Masons’ Company via service with George Lee on 30 March 1758.
