Biographical Details
He was working on woodcarving at Chatsworth under Thomas Young and Samuel Watson by 1691 and again in 1692, when he agreed with William Davis and Watson to carve ornaments in limewood for the great chamber. Like the others he was influenced by Gibbons’s work in limewood.
