Josiah Wedgwood’s Catalogue of 1787 includes the statement ‘I have lately been enabled to enrich it with some charming groups, which Lady Diana Beauclerk and Lady Templeton, whose taste is universally acknowledged, have honoured me with the liberty of copying from their designs’ (Wedgwood/Templetown).
