Biographical Details
An Italian sculptor who worked for a time as an assistant to John Hogan in Rome. He exhibited marble groups of Fidelity and Gratitude at the Great Exhibition of 1851 and in the same year, during a visit to London, worked on at least twenty-five commissions for British clients. He attracted considerable British and American patronage during the second half of the nineteenth century and examples of his sculpture were displayed at the London International Exhibition of 1862 and the Dublin Exhibition of 1872.
