Biographical Details
He was the mason who built Sir John Moore’s school at Appleby, Leics. In 1697 he received a part-payment of £362 for this work. Moore clearly did not trust Sabin and wrote asking him for a detailed breakdown of his costs for ‘each parcell of Stone work’ (Bolton 1934, 101), which Sabin duly sent. He married Mary Holt at Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leics, on 17 July 1690 and he was buried there on 19 February 1703.
