Verdier was one of the carvers, like Gaspar Van der Hagen, who worked for Rysbrack and may be identical with the ivory carver who signs himself ‘GVDR.’ An ‘Ayme Vedeau’ was rated in Green Street South, London, at £35 between 1755 and 1761
