Biographical Details
There are a number of tablets in St Mary, Lace Market, Nottingham signed either ‘WALKERS’ (2, 4, 6) or ‘WALKER S’ (1). Thomas Roberts’s memorial has a draped urn above the inscription and acanthus ornament below, while the Watson has only a draped urn (1, 4). The Hill and Sarah Roberts are even plainer: the former has a small coat of arms above the tablet and the latter stylised acanthus ornament (2, 6).
