Biographical Details
He was apprenticed to Nicholas Stone, Master Mason to King Charles I, in 1629-30, under the auspices of the Masons’ Company and is listed among the Company’s yeomanry until his death. In 1638 White subcontracted to him a ‘statua in whitt marbell’, probably the effigy of Penelope, Lady Spencer on Stone’s monument at Great Brington, Northants. He agreed also to complete a Corinthian capital, probably intended for the canopy. There are no recorded works after 1660.
