Biographical Details
Between 1704 and 1707 Wright was responsible for the architectural cutting of the exterior of Calke Abbey, for which he received £176. In 1712 he was paid £88 for ‘the new steps in the garden on the North east side of the house’ (Harpur-Crewe Archives, Calke Abbey, quoted in GPC).
