Biographical Details
In 1753 he was paid 5 guineas for making a niche at Gordon’s College, Aberdeen to house John Cheere’s statue of Robert Gordon. In 1763 he was the master-mason building the West Kirk under James Gibbs, also in Aberdeen. The Strachan monument is a ‘pretty tablet’.
