Wynn’s tradecard describes him as ‘Statuary at Shakespeare’s Head, Henrietta Street COVENT GARDEN Late Apprentice to Mr [Benjamin]Rackstrow’. It adds ‘Takes off Gentlemen and Ladies Faces from the Life with the greatest ease and safety and forms them into Busts to an exact likeness. Likewise makes all sorts of figures, busts, vases, etc, for Halls, staircases, Dining Rooms, etc in plaister of Paris to represent either Marble, Stone or Bronzes, etc. Likewise mends, Gilds, Paints & Bronzes Old Figures, etc. NB Leaden figures, Vases, etc for Gardens made and mended’ (Banks 106.33).There are two other trade cards in the collection, neither of which elaborate on the above notice ( Banks 106.22; Banks 103.22).
