Biographical Details
The Daily Post of 23 April, 1731, refers to him as ‘that ingenious statuary at the Eagle and Rock, near Hyde Park Corner’. In December 1731 Henry Hoare paid him 6 guineas for a ‘plaister figure’ (1) and a second sum of £21 for unspecified work followed in January 1733 in respect of ‘Johs Cox’s bill to Wm Young’.
