Biographical Details	Brown was buried in Highgate churchyard, where his epitaph described him as ‘Citizen and Mason of London' and stated that he was ‘a very ingenious Artist in his way and a zealous Son of the Church of England' (Mottley II, 1734-5, 859, in GPC).
