Biographical Details
Born in Cork, by 1845 he was in London, where he enrolled as a student at the Royal Academy. He subsequently studied in Paris, Rome and Louvain and returned to England around 1851, when he exhibited at the Royal Academy (1). In 1864 he received a medal from the Liverpool Academy. His London address was 101 Stanhope Street, Mornington Crescent, Regent’s Park. In the latter part of his life he returned to Cork, where he died on 29 April 1890.
