Biographical Details
The son of Christopher Cass I, to whom he was apprenticed under the auspices of the Masons’ Company on 23 August 1721. It seems likely that he worked in the successful family building concern until his premature death, but he also carved in marble, for his father’s will mentions ‘a marble pedestal done by my late son, Christopher Cass’, bequeathed to young Christopher’s sister, Sarah Gilbert.
