Biographical Details
A mason and carver, thought to have been responsible, with Mungo Naismith, for five keystone masks on Glasgow Town Hall, 1737-42. Four of these are now in St Nicholas Garden, Glasgow. He certainly worked on the Town Hall, for the Council minutes record that he was paid half a crown a day for over a year to carve ornaments, with one shilling a day for his apprentice.
