Biographical Details
His tablets, the best of which are listed below, are nonetheless of provincial workmanship. At Yaxley there is a large wall tablet to Captain William Papp, 1797 (2). This has an urn and military trophies and is signed ‘S. Andrews, of Yaxley’ who can perhaps be identified with S Andrews of Wisbech. A ‘Mr. Andrews’ of Wisbech built the church, almshouses and school at Upwell, Norfolk in 1847 (Builder, 1848, 8).
