Biographical Details
A popular provincial statuary who also had yards at Wallingford and Watlington. His work, chiefly consisting of wall tablets, is ‘in no way distinguished’ (Gunnis 1968, 104). He had taken more than one of his offspring into the business by the time he produced the monument to Grace Norris, signed ‘& Sons’(8).
