Biographical Details	Cole ran a general mason’s business in Stamford, building houses for the Earl of Exeter. He became a freeman of Stamford in 1766. His death was noted in the Gentleman’s Magazine of 1797 and that year his widow advertised that she would continue his business making tombs, wall-pieces and graves.
