Biographical Details
The son of a wheelwright, Maurice Collier of Bishop’s Sutton, Hants, he was apprenticed to William Collier (perhaps his uncle) in 1717. He became free in September 1725. His yard was in Camomile Street. A George Collier was made free via service to Joshua Fletcher in July of the same year.
