Biographical Details	The son of Thomas Collins of Warwick, he was apprenticed to John Dunckley of Warwick in 1726 (TNA I.R. 49/79). Around 1750 he carved a stone vase for Lady Luxborough (1) and he carried out similar work for William Shenstone at the Leasowes (Letters of Lady Luxborough to William Shenstone in Gunnis 1968, 111) (2).
