Biographical Details
Atkinson was responsible for most of the chimneypieces at Holkham Hall, Norfolk. He signs the large monument, 20 feet high, of the Earl of Leicester, at Tittleshall (1). The busts of Lord and Lady Leicester which form part of it are the work of L F Roubiliac. The London Directory of 1768 notes that Atkinson's yard was in Leadenhall Street.
